I am so sick of people saying they got scammed by asphalt companies. You need to grow up and take responsibility for your own actions. If you have any business do work for you and you add on to the original contract,it will be more than the estimate! Sorry to inform you extra work cost extra! My brother in law gave an estimate to a church for patchwork. $4 per sq ft. 500 feet for $2000. They agreed. He did the work 4 hours later. Texted them when he was on his way. Texted them again to say he was starting. Played out the 500 sq ft. Called the man in charge. Offered to do another strip beside the first one. Dropped the price to $3.50 per square ft for everything. The man Agreed. Now they are mad because it came to $3800. They agreed to pay $2500. Then one of them posted a fake page with my name on it! Saying how he scammed them. With pictures of me. When I called them in it it was removed. Now
Matthew David is posting on his page how the church got scammed. Leaving out the fact that I called him an told him to cancel the check and I would pay for the asphalt so my brother in law didn’t have to. He also left out that when I called him to help straighten the deal out he lied to me 3 times in 10 mins. Said Noah never had permission to do the job. Only told him 100 sq ft. For $2000. And later a whole load of asphalt without permission. So I hung up on him. He lied the whole way through. Extra paving cost extra money it’s not free Matthew!
We go by the sq ft for a reason. We pay $100 a ton for asphalt ,$6.70 a gallon for diesel. And $2000 a day for laborers. Not to mention $65,000 a year for insurance and $40,000 a month on equipment. Where do you think anything is free today. Go to a restaurant and order up food and drinks and desserts. Then try to bargain that bill down with the owner and cry you got scammed!
