We are looking to hire a Project Manager.

Neil Spencer Builders is seeking a motivated Construction Project Manager to oversee commercial and residential carpentry projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, capable of developing growing business systems, coordinating project billings, developing and tracking submittals, and maintaining strong client relationships while ensuring projects are completed on time, and within budget.

Responsibilities

* Manage construction projects from planning through completion.
*Develop submittals, track approvals, and order long lead time materials.
*Perform accurate monthly AIA billings to owners and general contractors.
*Work with general contractors and owners on scheduling, project scopes, and budgeting.
* Coordinate schedules, materials, subcontractors, and job site activities.
* Conduct regular site visits, attend or coordinate progress meetings. Communicate daily with field supervision.
* Solve job site challenges quickly and professionally.
* Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.
* Ensure all work reflects the quality craftsmanship of Neil Spencer Builders.

Qualifications

* Previous experience in construction project management. Or an applicable degree in construction or business management.
* Strong understanding of residential construction and carpentry practices.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
*Must be a self starter capable of working alone on complex projects.
* Proficient in the ability to read blueprints and construction plans.
* Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
* Proficiency with scheduling and project management tools such as ProCore, BlueBeam, Microsoft Excel.
* Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
*Clean criminal record.

Preferred Skills

* Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
* Basic knowledge of construction estimating.
*Ability to develop systems within a growing business.
* Hands-on carpentry background is a plus.

Congratulations to Ethan Pett for taking third place at the SkillsUSA carpentry state competition yesterday!

Ethan has been working with us part time as a co-op student from the Bay Arenac ISD skill center and Garber High School. He has been quick to learn and a great addition to the team!

We are all wrapped up on this Forwards Convenience Store facelift in Alger. Our scope of work included demolition, wood framing, siding, and installation of the awning.

You may have seen us on State St. in Saginaw over the past few months as we were apart of this ground up Panera Bread build. We just finished our scopes of work on this project which included wood and metal stud framing, siding, drywall, general trades, and furniture. It has been a great project to keep us warm this winter. Stop in and get yourself a bread bowl!
