A fire department’s ability to respond depends on equipment that works. We built this maintenance facility to give Central Valley’s crew the space to keep that equipment in service. Properly, efficiently, and without compromise.

The project was delivered on time and on budget. Fit and finish at or above the expectations of both the owner and the architect. For a government project, that’s not assumed, it’s earned through third-party verification and a build team that holds the line on specs from foundation to finish.

The department gets a facility that works the way their operation works. The community gets the return on that investment every time a truck rolls out ready.

For the first time this year, CNBC added permitting speed to its state business rankings. That's a signal worth paying attention to because the thing slowing projects down most right now isn't labor or materials, it's the gap between design and ground-breaking.

Most delays don't happen on the job site. They happen before it, in permitting, coordination, and planning that nobody budgeted time for.

Two live Blanton projects, two different versions of that same gap, closed the same way: with our team stepping in directly instead of waiting on it to resolve itself.

We’re grateful to have been included in the Montana Contractors Association’s annual Summer Outing. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow industry professionals, celebrate the hardworking people who shape our communities, and enjoy a great few days together, even though Montana weather got in our way a little.

Pursuing excellence in construction begins with a commitment to ongoing learning. Our team recently participated in a comprehensive concrete construction training session with CASE Testing & Inspection, focusing on advanced concrete mix design, reinforcement, field testing, and finishing techniques. This dedication to knowledge enhancement enables us to deliver high-quality pours with precision and attention to detail, exemplifying the Blanton building experience.

Kinda chic, right?

Excavation and site prep is the first phase on any project and it's also the one that determines what every other trade inherits. The grade, the utility placement, the compaction under the slab. Get it wrong and the problems compound through every phase that follows. Get it right and nobody notices, which is exactly how it's supposed to go.

Dev Thomas and the Keystone Contracting team were the first ones on the job at our new Thompson Gas project in Belgrade. The concrete follows. Before that, every lift of material has to be placed and compacted to spec so the slab has something solid to land on.

It's the part of the job that makes everything else possible. We're greatful to be standing on solid ground!

Brandon Young is the Deputy Fire Marshal at Central Valley Fire District. He also handles facilities, which means when they needed a new maintenance building, he was the one who led the charge.

Here's the part that stuck with him: it was late in the build, middle of winter, and something was wrong with the heater. The kind of problem that could stall a concrete pour if it wasn't handled. He drove out to the site at 9 o'clock at night. And guess what? Our man Ted was already there.

"That was the moment where it's like, these folks actually care about our project."

That's not something you put in a contract. You either show up for it or you don't. And for a government project, where public work goes to the lowest bidder and most clients brace for the worst, it changed the whole experience.

Brandon calls that "pretty unique in today's world of construction."

We'd like to think it doesn't have to be.

Built for the people who protect our community, and by people who call it home.

The Central Valley Fire Department’s new maintenance facility will support the fire trucks, ambulances and emergency vehicles serving Belgrade and the surrounding district. For our team, this project hit especially close to home: it’s just minutes from our shop, and many of our employees who helped build it live within the district those vehicles protect.

Our neighbors supported the mill levy that made this facility possible, and the crews and equipment maintained here respond on the same streets where we live, work and raise our families.

We’re proud to have played a part in a project that will serve our community for years to come.

When we bring a trade partner onto a project, the scope of work is only half the decision. The other half is how that partner thinks: whether they plan ahead, whether they own a job all the way through, whether they take a project as seriously as Blanton does.

That thinking is why ATG got the entire drywall-to-paint scope at The Pines instead of splitting it across separate trades. One team, one standard, nobody to point fingers at when something doesn't line up.

There's a line Jake comes back to in this one: "The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten."

Going with one partner costs a little more upfront. On a project this size, it saves far more than that down the line.

That's not a slogan. It's a finished building that came in on schedule and on standard.

There’s nothing we appreciate more than a good review. Well… maybe a great trade partnership.

Hearing that crews genuinely enjoy working on projects with us means a lot! The best projects are built by teams who respect the work, communicate well and enjoy showing up for one another.

Thanks to the Campbells' team for the kind words, and for being a partner that makes every project better.

We’re proud to build alongside you. 🛠️
