Nobody checks our work like another builder. Owners see the finished building. Inspectors see the code. But, a builder sees the sequencing, the site logistics, and the decisions made months earlier that are holding the schedule together now.

So, when a peer group from the National Association of Home Builders spent an afternoon on a few of our job sites, it wasn't a showcase. It was a review by people who do this for a living in other markets across the US. Staying in a group like that means hearing where the industry is headed and it means getting told plainly when there's a better way. We're grateful for these partnerships and the memories that were made with our peers.

A building doesn't come together because of one company. It comes together because framers, electricians, plumbers, concrete crews, finish carpenters, and a long list of trade partners all decided to hold their own standard on the same job. That's the actual story behind every Blanton project, and it's the reason we threw a party. Not to celebrate a finished building, but to thank the people who make finishing one possible in the first place. We don't get to pick the weather, the supply chain, or half the things that make a schedule hard. What we do get to pick is who we build with. We picked well, and we know it. Thank you to everyone in that room, and everyone who couldn't make it, for the standard you hold on every single job.

The owners of this home knew exactly what they wanted: Bertrand windows, made in Poland and unlike anything available through a standard supplier.

Our job was to make the rest seamless and it’s been a welcomed challenge we were willing to accept. From metric drawings and transatlantic freight to specialized hardware and an installation crew ready the moment the glass arrived.

None of that complexity should show in the finished home. And it doesn’t. That’s the point. Follow along to see the final reveal in just a couple weeks.
