I’m Aurora.
I own Miss Handy Hands, an electrical and construction company in Oklahoma, and apparently at some point I decided that wasn’t enough chaos for one person.
So here I am—building control boxes on my living room floor, drawing electrical diagrams on graph paper, running a company, raising my daughter, lifting heavy things for fun, and trying to figure out what the next version of my life and business looks like.
For a long time, I’ve hidden behind the company.
I’m comfortable posting the finished project.
I’m comfortable talking electrical.
I’m comfortable solving problems for customers.
Talking about me is a whole lot harder.
But lately I’ve been challenged to stop hiding behind the logo and start building the person behind it, too.
So this is me doing that.
I don’t have some perfectly curated entrepreneur story to show you. Some days I feel like I know exactly what I’m doing.
Other days… well, see Exhibit A. 😂
But I built my life and my business by being willing to figure s**t out that I didn’t already know how to do.
And I think that’s probably what I want this page to be about:
business, construction, motherhood, strength, failure, growth, and figuring s**t out as I go.
So—hi. I’m Aurora.
You’re probably going to be seeing a lot more of me.
