“Why are there droppings again?” That panic hits fast—usually after we’ve already baited once.
Rodents don’t “decide” to leave. They keep coming back through the same overlooked entry points. In Southern MD, our teams most often see return visitors coming from:
Gable vents/soffits: gaps behind trim and loose screening
Garage door gaps: the seal fails, and rodents learn the route
Foundation weep holes: tiny openings that add up fast
Before baiting again, we tell homeowners to inspect and seal first:
Check for chew marks along those three areas
Look for gaps around doors, vents, and utility lines
Confirm where droppings are clustering (not just the first room you notice)
If you’re seeing droppings in multiple rooms, call in emergency help—don’t wait for numbers to grow.
