Customer tried to reprogram the travel limits on his Genie opener. He ran the up program too far, causing the belt adjustment assy. to ram against the main drive gear, tearing the belt. Fortunately, the belt only needed replacing and correct program the travel and force limits.

This is an 18' x 8' door on a 32" high-lift track setup—a very popular choice for detached garages and shops.
Unfortunately, this one was installed incorrectly by another company:

*Missing 4th reinforcement strut

*Track and spacing misalignments

*Quite possibly an incorrect spring set

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: always be careful who you hire to install or work on your garage door!"

Here are 16X7 and 9X7 Doorlink model 431's I installed this morning. More people are starting to get these with plain windows. Great look on this home.

It is really rare that I get to work on wooden garage doors. These are original to the house, which was built in 1985! Since the doors are in great shape, we would encourage you to keep them. All we did was perform a full maintenance and lubrication service, and the doors should last several more years.
