We create, install, and maintain beautiful and unique environments for private homes and commercial properties in the Roaring Fork and Aspen Valley. Even the best landscape projects are only as good as the long-term care they receive. At Good Earth Landscaping & Maintenance, we are committed to providing the finest in lawn care to ensure the longevity of your landscaping project. Basic Service
• c
lean up
All trash and unwanted debris are collected, disposed of or recycled. This includes the removal of all plant-pruning materials, which are hauled to the landfill and disposed of. All concrete surfaces, patios, decks and parking areas are blown clean of debris from the landscape maintenance process. This includes edges of streets when applicable.
• trimming
Good Earth trims every maintenance visit to ensure a uniform and manicured lawn.
• mowing
Turf is completely and evenly mowed at a height suitable for the species and your property’s specific needs. We do not bag clippings. Research shows that it is better to return clippings to turf for nutritional replenishment. This process is called grasscycling and is more environmental friendly.
• edging
Good Earth edges concrete borders such as walkways, curbs and driveways each mowing during the growing season.
• w**d control
Shrub beds, natural areas with mulch and ground cover areas are w**ded every visit. We use herbicides that best meet the needs of a given area and pull w**ds within the canopy of shrubs or ground covers. Your bed areas should remain 95% w**d free, as there will be some w**d present in a fertile growing environment. Our intention is to control w**d with no injury to shrubs, ground covers or trees.
• pruning
Each species has specific pruning needs based on flower production and the growing season. First priority is pruning for bloom production, second is structure pruning for plant development and third is space management. If you have an extensive planting with specialty items, we will discuss proper pruning. We will fertilize plants and shrubs once a year to keep them growing and green.
• pest management
Good Earth scouts for plant pests and treat as needed. Additional Services
• aeration
Core aeration allows air, water and fertilizer to better reach the root zone. This stimulates root growth to create healthier, stronger turf grass plants. Most lawns benefit from annual aeration.
• fertilization
The species of your turf grass will dictate the type of and rate or fertilizer applied to your lawn. During the dormant period of your lawn, we apply a pre-emergent and post-emergent herbicide mix to control winter annual
• integrated pest management
Managing many separate cultural practices in landscape maintenance is called Integrated Pest Management (IPM). We monitor your landscape for problems or changes in appearance. If a problem is detected, we identify the pest then treat affected areas with the proper pesticides at label rates.
• mulch
Mulch benefits shrub beds by helping to retain moisture, control w**ds, prevent erosion, protect from temperature extremes and improve appearance of bed areas. Mulch must be replenished a minimum of once a year. Mulch that is located in full sun exposure with frequent irrigation will deteriorate more quickly than mulch in natural areas that are shady and have no irrigation.
