We’ve been all over Charlotte this week removing and replacing gutters 🏠🌧

And apparently… there’s still a lot of “Chuck in a Truck” out there hanging gutters with nails. 🔨

That holds… until it doesn’t. ❌

It doesn’t take much for them to start sagging, pulling away, and dumping water exactly where it shouldn’t be — fascia, landscaping, foundation… pick your problem.

🎥 Same issue. Different day. Still preaching.

We’re still seeing heavy ice buildup in roof valleys and tight sidewall areas—and it’s not melting yet. That’s a problem.

When ice sits in these low-slope areas, water has nowhere to go. As it starts to melt, it can work backward under shingles and behind flashing, leading to interior leaks.

🚫 Quick note:
I’m not telling you to get up on your roof.
Seriously—don’t do it yourself.

🚨 COMMON WINTER LEAK WE’RE SEEING EVERYWHERE 🚨

This setup is sneaky… and it’s causing a LOT of roof leaks right now 👀

When two sidewalls come together, they create a low-slope valley. Add snow + ice, and now you’ve got water just sitting there.

Here’s the problem 👇
❄️ Snow and ice melt
⬆️ Water builds up higher than the flashing
💧 Water runs backward under shingles
🏠 And boom… it finds its way into your home

This isn’t just a roof issue.
Left unchecked, it can turn into ceiling damage, attic damage, insulation issues, remediation, and even mold.

• Check ceilings under these areas
• Look in your attic or floorboards for stains
