🚧✨ From Design to Reality — Precision in Action!

Take a look at how our BIM, Prefab and Field Teams created and turned this BIM model into a real-world masterpiece! The purple conduits you see in the design were prefabricated and installed with remarkable accuracy — resulting in a final build that mirrors the original plan almost perfectly.

👏 A huge shoutout to Stephen Wright and Sam Massey for their exceptional prefab ex*****on, and to Rob Kennedy, Josh Roof, and Ryan Perry for their leadership in the use of BIM modeling, prefab utilization, and installation excellence.

Big News at Blackwater Electric! ⚡
We’re honored to share that Blackwater Electric has been awarded the Electrical scope of work for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard Triplex & Building 163 Repair Welding Shop Project.
This critical effort includes major fire protection, life safety, electrical, and infrastructure upgrades across multiple historic buildings at NNSY. The project will modernize fire suppression and alarm systems, replace outdated electrical systems, add permanent fume extraction systems, improve egress and life safety features, and support cybersecurity-ready electrical service for secure operations.
With a project magnitude estimated between $100M–$250M, this is a significant investment in strengthening the safety, reliability, and mission readiness of one of the Navy’s most vital shipyard facilities.
Blackwater Electric is proud to bring our expertise to such an important project that will directly support our nation’s defense infrastructure while enhancing safety and resiliency for generations to come.

We are excited to share that Blackwater Electric has been awarded the electrical scope of work for the Building CEP-201 Renovation Project at Naval Station Norfolk.
This project includes the renovation and repair of multiple facilities (CEP-201, CEP-201C, and CEP-201E), demolition of CEP-201D, new lumber storage construction, and extensive site improvements.
Our team’s work will support the Navy’s mission by delivering modern, safe, and energy-efficient electrical systems across:
• New building envelope and roofing systems
• Upgraded loading docks and overhead doors
• HVAC and plumbing system replacements
• Enhanced lighting and safety systems
We are proud to continue serving our nation’s defense infrastructure with reliable, mission-critical electrical solutions.

Blackwater Electric is proud to announce that we have been awarded the Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls (E&I&C) scope for the Nansemond SWIFT Facility Project with HRSD.
This state-of-the-art facility will play a key role in the Sustainable Water Initiative for Tomorrow (SWIFT) Program, converting highly treated wastewater into clean, sustainable water to recharge the Potomac Aquifer, reduce saltwater intrusion, and support clean waterways for generations to come.
Our team is honored to contribute to this groundbreaking project by delivering power, controls, and integration systems that will ensure reliable operation of one of the most advanced water treatment facilities in the region.
