Turned the heat on for the first time and noticed a dusty or burning smell? 🔥
A mild dusty smell can be normal the first time your furnace runs after sitting all summer. Dust that settled on the system is burning off, and the smell should fade fairly quickly.
But if the smell is strong, electrical, smoky, or doesn't go away, that's not something to ignore.
When in doubt, shut the system down and give Apex a call. We'd rather help you check it out than have you wonder if something is wrong.

SOMETHING OFF WITH YOUR FURNACE?
Don't wait for it to become a no-heat call.

Your furnace doesn't have to completely stop working before you call us. 🔧🔥
Strange noises? Uneven temperatures? Furnace turning on and off more than usual? Heat that just doesn't feel quite as warm?
Sometimes the little things are your heating system's way of telling you something isn't right.
Our Apex service team can diagnose the problem, explain what we find, and help get your home comfortable again.
