Sometimes learning what not to do is just as important as learning what to do. ⚡
Here’s a good example from the field: Installing a 4” square metal box with an RS cover doesn’t mean the job is code-compliant. MC cable cannot be left exposed below 8 feet where it’s subject to physical damage. In this situation, the proper installation would be to transition into a 1/2” surface-mounted EMT conduit and continue the run to the next termination point.
The difference between “it works” and “it’s done right” is what separates a handyman from a professional electrician.
