Some tools get replaced every few years.

Then there’s **this flathead screwdriver.** 😂

Wooden handle.

Drywall mud splattered across it.

Decades of jobsite wear.

And somehow it’s still doing exactly what it was made to do.

Brad points out that this thing has probably seen more construction sites than a lot of contractors.

Its main assignment over the years?

Taking cover plates off.

Putting cover plates back on.

Nothing glamorous.

Just decades of showing up and doing the job. 👏

There are ratios you just don’t mess with.

Concrete mix.

Mortar.

And apparently…

**peanut butter to jelly.** 😂

Brad watches this sandwich start off looking promising, then realizes the peanut butter is being applied like someone bought it in bulk and has a deadline to use it.

Meanwhile, the jelly is barely keeping up.

The final ratio?

Way too much peanut butter.

Not nearly enough jelly.

The construction crowd in the comments immediately starts treating the sandwich like a failed inspection:

“Contain the aggregate.”

“50/50 balance.”

“Calling the authorities.”

This may be lunch…

but the review process is VERY serious. 😭

A Sawzall CAN cut straight.

You just have to stop treating it like you’re attacking the board. 😂

Brad explains the trick:

Start slow.

Let the blade create a small groove.

Then gradually lower it into the cut line instead of forcing the whole blade in at once.

On something solid like a board, you can lean into the tool and keep it controlled pretty easily.

Drywall?

Different story. 😬

But on sturdy material, a straight cut is absolutely possible.

A lot of people blame the tool when the real problem is just technique.

Brad does NOT hand out the title **“worst construction video I’ve ever seen”** lightly. 😭😂

But this one apparently earned it.

The technique makes almost no sense for a real-world repair, and Brad’s watching it wondering why anyone would choose to do it this way.

The funny part?

This is actually one of the situations where mesh tape would have been useful.

Brad may not be its biggest fan for every application, but for patches?

That’s where it makes sense.

Instead, this video takes the scenic route to a solution that could have been much simpler.

Brad can’t read the comments…

but he has a feeling contractors would have PLENTY to say. 😂

One of the easiest hurricane prep mistakes?

Thinking:

**“It’s under the patio, so it’s fine.”**

Not necessarily. 👀

If the patio is open on the sides, strong winds can still get underneath furniture, coolers, lumber, tools, or anything else left outside.

At that point, those items aren’t just clutter.

They can become flying debris.

Brad’s advice is simple:

Move loose items fully inside the home or garage, or secure them behind a proper protective barrier.

That protects your house.

And just as importantly, it helps protect the houses around you.

If you’ve spent enough time on construction sites, you know EXACTLY what Brad is talking about. 👀

Fresh framing has a smell.

Newly cut 2x4s.

Sawdust in the air.

That clean lumber scent throughout the addition before drywall covers everything up.

It’s one of those small things contractors eventually learn to love because it comes with a pretty great milestone:

**The framing is done and the project is moving forward.** 👏

Goggles?

…we seem to have forgotten those. 😭

Brad watches this painter work with a tool that’s kicking up plenty of dust and immediately points out the missing eye protection.

Then the comments start explaining that the tool is designed to hook up to a vacuum.

Which would make sense…

if there were actually a vacuum hooked up to it. 😂

There isn’t.

So Brad is left questioning both the setup AND whether this technique is really worth doing this way.

Sometimes the tool isn’t the problem.

It’s how the tool is being used.

There’s a lot happening in this bathroom…

and none of it is helping Brad relax. 😭😂

First:

That is a **kitchen faucet on a bathtub.**

Then you look over and there’s a phone charger plugged in right next to the tub.

Which means somebody is apparently using that outlet while sitting on the toilet…

or while they’re actually IN the bathtub. 😬⚡

Brad’s reaction is basically one long home-inspection nightmare.

At some point, somebody looked at all of this and decided:

**“Whatever gets it done.”**

Technically creative?

Sure.

A setup Brad wants to see in a bathroom?

Absolutely not. 😂

Forget the sock.

Brad’s biggest problem with this video is the SOUND. 😭😂

He’s watching a guy repair a hole in a sock almost like you’d patch a hole in a wall, which is strange enough on its own.

Then comes the up-close ASMR audio.

Instant regret.

You can practically see Brad trying to crawl out of his own skin listening to it. 😂

Some repair videos are satisfying.

Some teach you something.

And some apparently exist just to make Brad deeply uncomfortable.

Mission accomplished. 👏
