🍁 Concord Fall Leaf Collection 🍁
🍂 Bulk Leaf Collection 🍂
📅 Starts October 26, 2026
Residents who want to participate in the City’s bulk leaf collection must rake leaves down to the curb for a one-time collection. Road crews will collect leaves as weather permits, focusing first on residential areas within the City's drainage system. Rake leaves into a windrow in the street, tight along the curb or edge of pavement/sidewalk to keep streets/sidewalks clear. Avoid piling leaves, especially around obstructions like mailboxes, signs, basketball hoops, or poles. 🚫
Due to unpredictable leaf volumes at the curb and weather conditions, it is unknown when crews will reach certain areas for collection. Crews can only come by once, so have leaves ready by the start of the program so you don't miss collection! 🍃
Be prepared for the weather! 🌨️ Snow may suspend bulk collection. ❄️ Residents are encouraged to prepare alternative ways to clean up leaves ahead of time in the event of possible program suspension or to dispose of any extra leaves after receiving collection.
🍂 Bagged Leaf Collection 🍂
⚠ Program Discontinued
The bagged leaf collection program has been discontinued, effective this fall. Bagged leaves will no longer be collected curbside in the fall or spring due to a recent funding cut during a City Council deliberation for the fiscal year 2027 budget. 🍁
🍂 Alternative Options 🍂
Consider mulching leaves into your lawn, disposing of them in a wooded area on your property, bringing them to a local accepting farm, dropping them off with Raymond’s Landscaping LLC at the Fort Eddy Road Reprocessing Center (free with proof of Concord/Penacook residency), or finding volunteers/hiring additional help for lawn care if needed. 🌱
