Another custom deck completed in Windsor! 🛠️

We built multiple decks in this development last year, and this time the homeowner right next door reached out to Fisher Construction for a deck of their own.

This project features reinforced framing for a future hot tub, a custom design created using AI, raised posts for hanging plants, and a deck board border to keep animals from getting underneath.

Finished off with a beautiful view overlooking the cornfield, this deck came together great!

Time for the trusses. Machine had another hydraulic leak, but at Fisher Construction we always find a way to keep moving. We had some help from our friends boom truck to get these trusses set today so we can keep this project moving right along.

Check out these new wall lifts we are using on the addition we are building. These lifts can stand up a 25 foot wall which is equivalent to about 440 pounds. They make the overall process of building exterior walls faster and less strenuous on your body.

Today we finished tearing down the gables and got the porch ready. We started to frame and got the floor laid. Tomorrow we will start building the walls. Stay tuned for more updates!

After weeks of weather delays and waiting on Met-Ed to get the electric moved, we finally got started on this second floor addition today!

With the storms we’ve been having, it was just too risky to get started sooner. Then we had to wait several weeks for the electric to be relocated.

Today we finally got the green light and got right to work tearing the roof and rafters off this house. Once we get everything torn off, we’ll start building the 8-foot walls, setting the trusses, and getting everything dried in before the weather gets to it.

This is going to be a big transformation for this house. Follow along over the next few weeks to see how it all comes together!

Getting the framing done on this new deck before the homeowners move in. One step closer to having a great outdoor space to enjoy.

A simple addition that makes the space underneath your deck a whole lot more useful. 💧

The homeowners had the materials ready to go — we came in and installed the system so they can keep the area underneath dry and actually enjoy the space, even when it’s raining.

That’s one of the best parts of building for homeowners: finding ways to make the space you already have work even better.

Another good day on the second-story addition. Today we started removing the siding from the gables to get everything ready for the next phase.

The biggest news is the electric finally gets moved next week. Once that’s done, we can really get rolling and start making some major progress on this addition.

We also have replacement parts coming for the forklift next week, so it’ll be back to work soon. We picked up a new set of adjustable ladder feet today too, and we’re already wishing we would’ve bought them sooner.

Another step checked off on this second-story addition. We got the upstairs cleaned out, all the old plaster is gone, the insulation is out, the carpet’s in the dumpster, and now we’ve got a clean slate to work with.

We’re just waiting on Met-Ed to move the electric. Once that’s done, things are going to move fast. The next step is taking out the knee walls, cutting the existing roof into sections, hauling it away, building the new walls, and setting the new trusses on top.

This is where you’ll really start to see the addition come together. Stay tuned—we’ve got a lot more to show over the next couple of weeks.
