Excel is specialized in offering a wide range of services covering your lawn and landscape needs Everyone’s idea of a yard is different.

Excel Lawns & Landscape is a family owned and operated lawn care and landscaping service company in Des Moines. During Excel’s creation, our goal was to provide our customers with a reliable, affordable, turnkey landscaping and lawn care service. Because of this, our customers can reclaim their time and spend those nights and weekends doing what truly matters. Our hope is that your property and space functions the very best way for you, as you are the one who sees it the most. My idea of a yard has changed over the years now with a special needs son and a 3- year -old daughter. The yard is a place for rolling, slides, and water toys. But, at this moment, that is what is needed for our family.

We finally got the new trucks wrapped! A big thank-you to Capital Sign Co.for bringing them to life.

The dog on the side has a special meaning to our family—that’s Echo, my son’s service dog. Echo makes a difference in his life every day, and having him represented on our trucks is something we’re proud of.

He’s also a reminder of something at the heart of our business:

𝗪𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲.
𝗟𝗮𝘄𝗻 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗲 𝗱𝗼 𝗶𝘁.

We’ve always been pretty content to show up, do good work, and let the results speak for themselves. Now we’ll be a little easier to spot along the way.

To our customers and our community—thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve you. Give the crews a wave when you see them around! 👋

Today, we had the opportunity to fully fund several classrooms across Iowa, including right here in our local community.

Normally, this is something we do quietly in the background without sharing much about it. But today felt worth sharing—not for recognition, but hopefully to encourage others to find a way to serve their communities too.

At Excel Lawns & Landscape, being of service to our community is our goal. Lawn care and landscaping just happen to be how we get to do it every day.

We’re grateful for every customer who chooses to support our local business, because that support allows us to turn around and support our employees, our schools, and the communities we call home.

If you’d like to help a classroom or teacher, DonorsChoose makes it incredibly easy to find projects that need support!

Small businesses can make a big impact when we take care of the communities that take care of us.

DonorsChoose connects teachers in high-need communities with donors who want to help.
