Cold weather is on the way, and it’s a good time to check in on electrical safety. We always remind our clients to inspect cords and outlets for signs of wear, especially if you’re plugging in heaters or holiday lights. Make sure extension cords aren’t covered by rugs or used outdoors unless they’re rated for winter use.
If you’re adding extra heaters or using more power, don’t overload your circuits. It’s easy for older panels to get overwhelmed this time of year. If you notice flickering lights or tripped breakers, it might be time for an assessment.
Stay safe and cozy this winter. If you have questions about your wiring or need help with an upgrade, we’re here.
