Gilmer County Master Gardeners were treated to a fabulous morning at Roo Mountain Vineyards yesterday. Ashley Hoppers, Director of Farm Operations, walked us through the basics of growing grapes and then took us on a tour of the w**e cellar and the barrel room. We met Jake and Matt, the w**e makers, and Jared the vineyard farm assistant. W**e and appetizers were enjoyed by all! We had our special guest, Susan Hurley, District Director for our North Georgia MG’s. Roo is a beautiful place!
