At Michael Kinder & Sons, we're building more than facilities, we're helping build futures.

Recently, Travis Becker, Senior Project Manager, and Kyle Mettert, Director of Field Operations, welcomed students from the Boys & Girls Club for a tour of our Hanjung America project. The visit gave students a firsthand look at the teamwork, craftsmanship, and problem-solving required to bring a large-scale construction project to life.

We're proud to open our jobsites, share our knowledge, and inspire the next generation of builders and skilled trades professionals.

Yesterday's Lunch & Learn was a tremendous success!

We were honored to bring together nonprofit leaders, church leaders, business professionals, and industry experts for a morning of collaboration, networking, and valuable learning.

Attendees gained practical insights on:
✅ Building Maintenance & Facility Audits
✅ Space Planning & Furnishings
✅ Marketing & Social Media Strategies
✅ Artificial Intelligence & Cybersecurity

The knowledge shared throughout the morning provided actionable strategies that organizations can use to strengthen their operations, improve their facilities, and better prepare for the future.

A special thank you to all of our guest speakers for generously sharing their expertise and experience. Your contributions made this event both informative and impactful.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the event such a success. We look forward to continuing these conversations and building stronger organizations together.

We were honored to celebrate the groundbreaking of the new Food & Clothing Co-op at Concordia Theological Seminary.

This new facility will provide a welcoming, accessible home for a ministry that has supported seminary students and their families for more than 50 years, ensuring future church leaders have the resources they need while answering their call to service.

Thank you to Concordia for trusting Michael Kinder & Sons to help bring this important project to life.

Leadership isn't about a title. It's about serving others.

During Session 2 of the Kinder Leadership Academy, participants explored the principles of servant leadership and heard firsthand from our Superintendent Ed Bender, who shared real-world experiences and leadership lessons from the field. Opportunities like these help connect classroom discussions with practical insights that participants can apply throughout their careers.

A rising tide raises all ships.

At Michael Kinder & Sons, we're committed to raising the tide by investing in the next generation of leaders.

When asked what they enjoyed most about the Kinder Leadership Academy, students consistently pointed to the relationships they built, the stories they heard, and the opportunity to learn from professionals across the construction industry.

Hear directly from members of our inaugural KLA class as they reflect on the experiences that made the biggest impact on them and helped shape their understanding of leadership, career opportunities, and personal growth.

Some projects build buildings. Others help build futures.

Last week, we joined New Mercies Ministries, Design Collaborative, and Headwaters Church to celebrate the start of renovations for a new supportive housing ministry that will serve mothers working toward stability and reunification with their children.

What began as a vision years ago is now becoming reality.

We are proud to be part of a project that will provide hope, support, and opportunity for families as they take the next step forward.

Breaking Ground for Hope. Building Space for Restoration.

From construction site to campus community.

Just months ago, this site was an active construction project. Today, the completed West Wing of Taylor University’s newest residence hall, Paul & Barbara Gentile Hall, is home to students beginning a new academic year.

Designed to support meaningful relationships and enrich the residential experience, Gentile Hall represents a significant investment in the future of the Taylor community. It’s rewarding to see students now living in the West Wing, building friendships, and making the space their own, while construction continues on the East Wing.

Michael Kinder & Sons is grateful for the opportunity to help bring this vision to life.

Progress continues at the Taylor University Chapel and Welcome Center as the vision for this new campus destination begins to take shape. With nearly all structural steel now erected, the building's presence is becoming a reality, providing a clear look at the scale and character of the future facility.

Our team is making steady progress in coordination with project partners, maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and schedule. As the structure comes together, the project is transitioning into the next phases of construction, bringing the Chapel and Welcome Center one step closer to serving students, families, alumni, and visitors for years to come.

Here's a look at the latest progress taking shape at Hanjung America's new facility in Huntington, Indiana.

This update highlights the incredible scale of the project through a combination of drone footage and timelapse photography, showcasing the steady progress being made across the site. The picture-in-picture format provides an immersive view of the project from multiple perspectives, allowing you to see interior progress, exterior construction activity, and top-down aerial views all on the same screen.

As this 133-acre manufacturing campus continues to take shape, each milestone brings Hanjung America's vision closer to reality.

No Future Without Change.

We're proud to partner with Hanjung America to help build the future of manufacturing in Northeast Indiana.

Eleven years. More than 4,600 people served last year, double what it was when he started. One of nine Olympic and Paralympic training sites in the country.

We sat down with Mike Mushett shortly before his retirement to hear the story of how he found his way to Turnstone, and what he’s proudest of on the way out.

At the Turnstone Board of Directors Gala, someone said, “We need Turnstone. Fort Wayne needs Turnstone.” Mike has helped make that statement true for thousands of people across our community.

Today, we’re celebrating his leadership and the lasting impact he leaves behind, while looking forward to an exciting next chapter for the entire Turnstone team.
