Period Perspectives: Overcreek Farm Fire Restoration.
After a devastating fire claimed much of this beloved c. 1800 West Chester farmhouse, its story now enters a new chapter. Over the course of generations, the property evolved from an active horse farm into the family home where the current owners raised their children. Inspired by resilience, stewardship, and tradition, our design seeks to rebuild the historic heart of the farmstead while reimagining portions lost to the fire.
Respecting the original foundation footprint, the addition draws upon period precedent and the undeniable character of the surviving structure. With the family’s cherished memories and traditions as a guide, the design aims to recapture the sense of place, comfort, and continuity that made Overcreek Farm a beloved residence for centuries.
