Today I got a lot accomplished, but it was so hot. Keeping all my flowers watered has been a huge, tedious task, but I’m forever grateful to still get to harvest flowers daily for repurposing into Holy Blooms Flower Boutique products.

The blurry picture of the bumble bee, while blurry, struck such a cord with me. I rescued him, then he was able to fly well enough to make it to one of my zinnias. He was having such a hard time navigating and I hope he was able to find rest in my garden.

I spent quite a bit of time The Vintage Market organizing my booth and seeing what it needed, and shared sweet conversations while there. The Vintage Market has such unique finds and I always love watching the customers shop, seeing what they pick and the stories of why they did. Community.

I spent hours today harvesting zinnia seeds, sorting the petal from the seed. Last year and all years prior, I just saved the seeds attached to the petal, but now I have two uses for the flowers. Grateful, but what a tiring task it is and I’m not near through, and while all the seeds won’t be viable to have spent such time on this, it was a great time of just calming my breaths and being grateful for what God provides.

This evening while watering I shared the garden with this swallowtail and I had to get its picture.

I’ve enjoyed my scents being named after the flower they represent, however, I’m a writer and my world is infiltrated by words every day.

The Peony scent was named “Finding Joy” and that perfume has been so popular. The conversations regarding “finding joy” have been so, so special, and that made me long for all the scents to have names.

FINDING JOY

These names were chosen with much thought and intention. I can’t wait to see you at Graham Farmers Market Saturday!

One of the greatest blessings of Holy Blooms Flower Boutique is making gifts that people actually love. I know every time I make a custom, thought-out gift bag or basket that the recipient will be able to tell that it was planned just with them in mind. “Intention” is a word that gets thrown around a lot here as it is used in the selection of seeds or plants, the growing process, harvesting and transformation into a beautiful product.

I make gifts worthy of your SELF-CARE, or just sitting beautifully in your bathroom waiting for the next use. Holy Blooms Flower Boutique products are functional and beautiful all at the same time. Each product is carefully produced and packaged with you in mind.

Some of the words people use when stopping by my booth at both Graham Farmers Market and The Vintage Market are “it’s such an experience”, “they’re beautiful” “it smells delicious” “I won’t let myself run out.”

I want Holy Blooms Flower Boutique to be more than a flower shop, I want it to be an experience, a conversation, where our stories mesh, and always where Jesus and prayer are brought up.

PRAYER is the base of my business, and always will be and prayers are prayed intentionally all throughout my entire business processes. Right now watering is horrible in the heat, but God always finds me in the garden. If you need prayer, we’ll pray right at my booth, standing at Walmart or on the street. Nowhere is too private for what God will do! God is so gracious to me that He knew my heart for prayer and He created the idea of Holy Blooms Flower Boutique in both my head and heart and I’m honored to share it with you.

“Finding Joy” scent SMELLS like Joy FEELS! Even while typing this, its smell lingers in my thoughts, as if a memory is provoked.

We’re not spared by storms, but we’re shaped by them and this scent brings to mind the feelings of, “I can feel JOY today” “Today made me JOYFUL” “I feel JOY in my heart” “More JOY less sadness” “I feel uplifted”.

Smells prick so many memories for me and this does as well. FINDING JOY brings the thoughts that:

JOY is worth finding
JOY outweighs sadness
JOY uplifts my spirit
JOY lingers

I’m happy to bring yet another product in the Pink Signature Collection as I love the smell of peony. But, FINDING JOY is so much more than just peony.

Every bottle is hand-filled with real flowers, so each one is a little unique—just like the journey of finding joy.

Every bottle will always have the flower Gomphrena, known for holding its color even after it’s dried. Symbolically, that feels fitting as it reminds me of joy that endures through changing seasons.

Holy Blooms Flower Boutique has been such a blessing, providing a place for me to linger in God’s goodness amongst His creations, me the birds, butterflies and bees.

I come from a long line of gardeners and I’m following in my great-great-grandmother’s footprints, as she grew gorgeous flowers and made botanical teas and tinctures so many years ago. My great-grandmother is where I first learned the skills of growing a beautiful garden, and my parents taught us girls the skills to help tend our acre garden that provided food for us all year long, as well as food for our community. My Dadi pierced my heart with the never-ending LOVE of roses as I watched him grow them my entire life.

To say I love flowers is an understatement, growing from seed, or planting small plants and nurturing them and watching them grow and then them gifting me with beautiful flowers to harvest and repurpose into beautiful things that make Holy Blooms Flower Boutique.

FLOWERS + DIRT + PRAYERS is indeed what makes each day special, spending time with the Lord, voicing prayers while tending to all He’s provided.

GROW, HARVEST, CREATE, BLESS, REPEAT.
