A little bit of writing news, neighbors.
My essay, Wildflowers, was recently picked up by DailyGood, a publication that shares stories about kindness and compassion.
It's a story about meeting a newly widowed man on my doorstep, a few flowers in a pickle jar, and a special goodbye.
I wrote it because that connection stayed with me. I didn't really know what to do with it except try to put it into words.
So to have someone reach out and say they wanted to share it with more people... that feels pretty special.
I've been calling myself a “writer” for a few months now (because that's what I do), but imposter syndrome still creeps in.
Having another publication see value in my work makes it feel a little more real somehow.
I'm letting myself enjoy that feeling.
