The sneak peek was good… but the finished product is something else. 👀🔥🌊
We built the dune crossover and designed this custom handrail system with one main goal — keep as much of that Gulf view open as possible while building a system made to handle the coastal environment.
The handrail features a custom aluminum flat-plate design paired with the Atlantis Rail Systems ONYX cable system, giving the entire upper deck a clean, low-profile look without sacrificing the view.
For the top cap, we used Sand Dollar Owens Corning marine-grade decking — one of the few composite products backed for saltwater immersion and exactly the kind of material we want this close to the Gulf.
The system was built using stainless steel and aluminum components and fasteners throughout, with exposed stainless fastener heads finished using a direct-to-metal epoxy coating for a clean, consistent, durable finish.
Everything was primed with PPG Ultra and finished in a super-matte black powder coat to match the ONYX cable system from top to bottom.
