One of my past customers reached out to us and said she was having issues with her mulch bed washing out on to her neighbor’s driveway. She requested that she would like the retaining wall to be made out of the same brick as her house. We were able to find the same style brick and built her a small brick retaining wall to hold back the mulch when it rains. Both her and her neighbor were more than pleased with the outcome.
Over the past few years, we have learned that it’s not always about cookie-cutter designs but building something personal for our clients, that’s not only beautiful but also functional.

Anyone ever seen an 8ft fountain scape before?! I had the opportunity to Aquascapes’ training in Chicago, Illinois this past weekend and it was an amazing experience. The training was all on Koi ponds, fountain scapes(like that tall one I’m standing next to), and pond-less water. Thank you for an amazing weekend of learning all these new skills!

All the powder and dust seen being laid in the video yesterday was a mixture of lime and Portland cement. We then sprinkled over it with gravel and we compacted that with a jumping jack tamper at 3500 pounds per square foot. The purpose of laying the lime and Portland was due to the ground being unstable-and the mixture will bind with the dirt/clay to help it remain strong and keep the retaining wall solid and standing for the years to come. We’ve made lots of progress and will be laying sod today to complete the project! We are excited to show you the final reveal!

Our family has been blessed and changed by adoption, and we have had the best time going to Pure Gift of God’s adoption festival in Walnut Creek, OH each year. We get to be with dear friends and meet new ones and love being around so many other families who have adopted from India and other places all across the country and globe.

We realized while we were driving up this year that last year on this same trip was when the name for our company was born! We had been brainstorming our entire 8hr drive to try and find a name we loved and finally settled on Birch & Boulder. A river birch is Bryan’s favorite tree and so we chose birch to represent the landscaping part of the company and we chose boulder to represent the hardscapes. We cannot believe Birch & Boulder has been in existence for almost a year, and we are so grateful for the support we’ve been shown and all the help you all have given us in spreading the word. Thank you❤️
