Wagons with a story ; Thanks to our great customers at New Castle County mounted division for allowing us to make a few changes on there hitch wagon . New Castle county has a respected mounted division specializing in clydesdales .Stationed on the DuPont Estate in Wilmington Delaware they keep the history alive in New England .
This wagon started out with a Cincinatti brewery and had anew body built on it by Ray Wegman . It was used by Bob Black in Kentucky . It made its way to Lyle and Janet Hansbarger in Ohio . Our first job was when tom and Cole Steinbrick bought it amd we painted it maroon from red and white , second time we split it for Gary Miller , wegman body on a new lighter gear ( since has been back twice for repaint again )
The gear went to Canada where Richard Robertson put this body on studebaker gear . We then traded it in from Richard and painted it black for New Castle . We just added Archbold hubs with roller bearings and hydraulic brakes with hard rubber tires for there parades . This wagon I think gets the award for most visits with us between the body and running gear . Owned it 5 times worked on it 7 or 8 . Ray Wegman once told “ the only wagon I sold for nothing “ . It’s been the gift that keeps on giving . Thanks again New Castle County Police
