No need to water yet, let the roots grow deep. Your lawn will thank you all year.

With rain in the forecast, it’s time to continue giving your sprinklers a well-deserved break. During the shoulder season, your lawn needs way less hydration than you think. Save the water, save the money on your utility bill, and let the clouds do the work for you.

We’ve been working on some new marketing concepts…

Introducing:
🥣 Improbable Oatmeal – 100% all-beef burger.
🌱 Improbable Asparagus Spears – premium beef jerky.

We’re thinking this could really shake up the vegetable aisle.

Question for the group:
Would you pay premium prices for great veggies like these?

Or should we stick with good old-fashioned beef that doesn’t pretend to be anything else?

Be Patient, it's Still Sleeping.

Most Northern lawns are cool-season grasses like Kentucky bluegrass and Fescue. They stay dormant until soil temperatures consistently reach about 50–55°F. Air temperature doesn’t tell the whole story — soil warmth does.

We may have a while yet for it to green up.
Once it's time, if yours is still looking dormant:
• Gently rake a small area. If you see green at the base, it’s alive.
• Avoid heavy fertilizer too early.
• Hold off on frequent watering until active growth begins.

Patience now prevents problems later.

Did you know that most cattle breeds in Utah (and the northern states) can maintain body weight as long as temps stay above 18 or 19 degrees F? That means if they have a dry place to lay and some kind of windbreak- a tree, wall, or shelter of some kind they will stay safe and comfortable.

Straw digests slower and helps keep our cows warm in the winter months. And it provides a little bit dryer spot to lay down and take a break in.
