We wanted to share our perspective after receiving a recent review regarding our decision not to send a technician out at 7:00 p.m. during 100+ degree temperatures.

We absolutely understand how stressful it is to be without air conditioning during extreme heat. We also understand that every customer feels their situation is urgent—and many truly are.

But there is another side to emergency HVAC service that often isn’t seen.

Our technicians spend their entire day climbing into attics, working around hot equipment, and moving between homes in extreme temperatures so families can have air conditioning. By the end of a 100+ degree day, they have already put their bodies through a tremendous amount of heat exposure.

There comes a point when asking them to keep going isn’t customer service—it’s unsafe.

We will always work hard to take care of as many customers as we reasonably can, but we will never knowingly put the health and safety of our employees at risk to do it.

Our technicians are people. They’re husbands, fathers, sons, and members of our community. They deserve to go home, recover, and be safe too.

We won’t apologize for that.

We appreciate the customers who understand that taking care of the people who take care of you is part of running a responsible local business. ❤️

While not exactly heating and air, insulation is a major component to home performance. Many times people blame the air conditioner when the house gets hot. Sometimes it is, sometimes it isn’t.

One of our customers thought that her air conditioner had a problem because her home was warming above the thermostat setpoint. We have the knowledge and capability the quantify the performance of an air conditioner to prove that it is doing as much cooling as it should. In this case, it was. So, I looked into the attic and found almost no insulation, even bare in some places. We provided our customer with an insulation improvement to make the home more efficient and comfortable.
