🏡 Planning a new gas appliance? Check the gas supply BEFORE you buy.

That beautiful new gas range, fireplace, water heater, or outdoor appliance may require more than simply connecting it to an existing gas line.

Adding a new appliance—or one with greater demand—may require evaluating whether your home's existing gas piping is appropriate for the new equipment.

A little planning before the purchase can prevent an unwelcome surprise on installation day.

🏆 A Proud Moment for HM Plumbing and PHCC of Georgia!

We are thrilled to share that PHCC of Georgia was honored with the National Legislative Excellence Award at PHCC CONNECT 2026!

This prestigious national recognition celebrates the chapter's advocacy efforts surrounding Georgia's SB 553, legislation designed to prevent unlicensed contractors from advertising plumbing services and help protect consumers and the integrity of our trade.

Our very own Karen Hugo Durkee Hill Vice President of HM Plumbing and President of PHCC of Georgia, was honored to accept the award alongside PHCC of Georgia's Executive Director, Ellen O'Shei Whitaker and HM Plumbing President Daniel Hill.

At HM Plumbing, we believe that supporting our industry goes far beyond the work we do each day. It means advocating for higher standards, protecting consumers, and helping build a stronger future for licensed plumbing professionals.

Congratulations to PHCC of Georgia and everyone whose hard work and dedication made this national recognition possible! We're proud to be part of an organization making a difference for our industry.

⚠️ Gas piping is about much more than connecting a pipe to an appliance.

Here are 5 reasons to leave gas piping to a professional:

🔥 Safety First
🛠️ Proper Materials
📏 Proper Sizing
🔍 Testing Matters
📋 Codes & Requirements

A properly installed gas system requires knowledge, experience, and testing. This is one home project where cutting corners isn't worth the risk.

We're looking forward to PHCC CONNECT 2026 and the opportunity to connect with women who are making a difference across the plumbing and HVAC industries. Encouraging more women to explore careers and leadership opportunities in the trades is important to the future of our industry.

Women in the trades are helping shape the future of our industry—and CONNECT 2026 is bringing them together.

Join Karen Hill of HM Plumbing and women from across the trades at Link Up: Shaping the Future of Women in the Industry Networking Event on Monday, October 19, from 4:30–5:30 p.m. CT.

🔥 DON’T TAKE CHANCES WITH GAS.

Whether you’re adding a gas fireplace, replacing a water heater, installing a new gas range, or making changes during a remodel, gas piping requires the proper materials, sizing, connections, testing, and knowledge of applicable codes.

When the project involves gas, don’t guess. Let a qualified professional handle it.

⛳️ HM Plumbing is on the course today! 🌭

We’re spending the day at the BOMA Georgia Sports Outing at Stone Mountain Golf Course, serving up hot dogs, cold drinks, and a little HM Plumbing hospitality to golfers as they make their way around the course.

Events like this are one of our favorite ways to get out of the office, connect with friends and colleagues in the commercial real estate community, and support the organizations that bring our industry together.

If you’re playing today, stop by the HM Plumbing hole — we’ve got lunch waiting! 🌭

Proud to be Serving with Integrity — on the job and in our community.
