I have been a Benjamin Moore Stan since the day I picked up a paintbrush in 2010. However the quality of alot of their paints the last few years has gone to the trash can. Regal, which used to be my go to wall paint, is absolutely horrible paint for the price point. It went up $13 a gallon for me since January which is 25 percent. Conversely, Sherwin Williams, which I almost only buy sundries from, has made emerald and cashmere better and for significantly less per gallon. I recently expressed frustration to a local Benjamin Moore about these increases and was told it is what it is despite the fact I know other painters locally are getting better prices than me. So if they won’t be loyal to me after 15 years with decreasing quality and increasing costs, why do I owe them loyalty? Scuff X, STIX and command are amazing and I will keep using them along with Old Master Stains, but their wall paint is sub par and unfortunately I need to move on. I hate to say it but SW is now providing better quality and a lower price point on wall paint. This emerald was absolutely flawless in its performance on this job.
