CMC Environmental teamed up with Peerless Midwest at one of the water systems under CMC’s operation. We pulled the well pump, inspected the column piping, reinstalled the assembly, and added a new airline for water-level monitoring.

Another step toward keeping the system reliable and the infrastructure maintained.

Pump pull and well inspection yesterday in Laingsburg, Michigan.

CMC Environmental assisted Peerless Midwest with a pump pull at one of the water systems under CMC Environmental’s operation. The pump was pulled, the pump and column piping were inspected, and the assembly was reinstalled.

We also added a new airline system to provide a reliable method for monitoring water levels within the well.

Preventative maintenance and accurate well-level monitoring are important parts of keeping a water system reliable and understanding how the well is performing over time.

Tired of running an extension cord to the garage every time you need power? 😂🔌

On this project, CMC trenched across the property and installed electrical conduit to prepare for a new power feed to the garage, along with conduit for new wiring up the pole to power the exterior light.

Another successful utility trench completed by CMC Environmental.

This project included saw-cutting the existing driveway, excavating approximately 65 feet of trench for a new underground electrical service, and carefully working around existing drainage infrastructure to minimize disturbance. We take pride in clean excavation, protecting existing utilities, and leaving every job ready for the next contractor.

Another wellhead rehabilitation in the books.

This one came in with years of corrosion, deteriorated hardware, and improper bolt engagement. We documented the deficiencies, measured everything before disassembly, replaced the components that needed attention, and put it back together the right way.

To us, this is light work.

It's the kind of project that comes from years of experience working on public water systems, treatment facilities, and utility infrastructure. While most people see an old wellhead, we see a pressure boundary that protects a drinking water source—and that's something we don't take lightly.

Every project gets the same attention:
• Document the existing condition.
• Identify the deficiencies.
• Repair it correctly.
• Leave it better than we found it.

🌅 From sun up to sundown.

Days like this week are why we built CMC Environmental.

Two emergency excavation calls. Long hours. Deep digs. Problem-solving from the first bucket of dirt until the last shovel of backfill.

CMC Environmental handled the emergency excavation from start to finish—locating and exposing the damaged sewer line, providing safe access for repairs, then backfilling, grading, and restoring the work area once the repair was complete. A big thank you to Kowski's Drain Services for completing the drain repair.

Another successful water system rehabilitation project completed in Laingsburg, Michigan.

CMC Environmental recently replaced deteriorated gate valves serving a private water system. The existing valves were heavily corroded, difficult to operate, and due for replacement. Our team isolated the system, removed the aging infrastructure, installed new valves, pressure tested the piping, and returned the system to service.

Projects like this help improve reliability, simplify future maintenance, and reduce the risk of unexpected failures.

Water systems aren't something you think about until there's a problem. Our goal is to keep them operating safely and efficiently before that happens.
