What exactly are you looking at?
It might look like random strips of mud, but this is one of the most important steps in our drywall finishing process.
At C&J Drywall & Services, we believe a quality finish starts with a quality foundation.
Our pre-fill process starts with a thorough inspection of every drywall sheet. Before we tape a single joint, we inspect for any factory, delivery, or installation damage. Any imperfections are repaired using Durabond, and every drywall joint is pre-filled before taping begins.
Why do we take this extra step?
✅ Repairs hidden imperfections before finishing begins.
✅ Creates a stronger foundation for the taping process.
✅ Helps produce a flatter, more consistent finished surface.
✅ Reflects our commitment to doing the job right—not just getting it done.
Could we skip this step and save time? Absolutely.
But that’s not how we do business.
We believe the work behind the paint is just as important as the finish you see. Every step matters, even the ones most people will never notice. That’s why we invest the extra time to build a strong foundation before the tape ever goes on.
At C&J Drywall & Services, we don’t just aim for walls that look good on move-in day—we strive to deliver craftsmanship that we’re proud to put our name on.
If you’re looking for a drywall and painting contractor who values quality, attention to detail, and doing the job right from the start, we’d love the opportunity to earn your business.
