What you don’t see in this basement finish is the behind the scenes coordinating, planning, and design involved in making this open concept basement layout possible. Previously, this basement had an undersized steel beam and structural columns through the center. We reinforced the existing steel beam and relocated the load points to provide this customer with a functional basement layout. At Russell remodeling, we don’t let preexisting conditions limit the potential of your space.

Happy Friday! Sit back, relax, and enjoy your new living room!

When viewing the finished product, this transformation may look simple, but on site we worked with load bearing points from above and below the main level. In doing so, we were able to make the dining space flow seamlessly into the previously sunken sitting room, creating a space for the homeowners to enjoy for years to come.
