Warmer weather has arrived, but it’s still winter! At Omaha Organics Lawn Care, we've noticed that turf is beginning to come out of dormancy. However, according to UNL’s turf professionals, this is not the time for power raking, aerating, fertilizing, or even mowing. Patience is key—wait for spring or at least a few more weeks!

Disturbing the soil too soon exposes it to sunlight, which accelerates new green growth but also encourages crabgrass and w**ds to germinate prematurely.
