A while back, we coated this garage floor, and recently we came back to finish the stem walls for a fully finished look. Matching the walls to the floor tied the whole space together and gave this garage a clean, seamless finish from top to bottom. It’s always satisfying to come back and complete the vision. 🐐🔥

Throwback to one of our favorite projects we’ve completed. 🔥

This family was in the process of customizing their home and wanted their garage to have a clean, cohesive look that matched their vision. They had an awesome SwissTrax flooring system throughout the garage and wanted a flake coating on the stem walls that would complement the space perfectly.

We helped them customize their own flake blend with a mostly black base, creating a look that tied everything together while matching the style they had envisioned. One of the best parts of our process is working with homeowners to create a flake blend that’s uniquely theirs—we’re not limited to standard options and can help customize a blend to fit any space, style, or vision.

The end result was a sleek, seamless look that fit the garage exactly how they imagined it, and they were thrilled with the final product.

Projects like this are always rewarding because every detail is intentional—and seeing a homeowner’s vision come to life is what it’s all about.

A huge thank you to Alex Williams for trusting us with this project and giving us the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience with metallic epoxy flooring.

This garage was our first metallic epoxy floor at Goat Coatings, and it taught us a ton.

Metallic epoxy creates a stunning, one-of-a-kind finish, but it also exposed us to challenges we hadn’t encountered with traditional flake systems. Through this project, we learned just how critical proper patching and multiple primer coats can be in achieving a smooth, defect-free finish. Small imperfections that might disappear in a flake floor can stand out in a metallic system, making preparation even more important.

One of the things we love most about this industry is that there is always more to learn. Every project helps us refine our processes, improve our craftsmanship, and deliver even better results for future customers.

Most importantly, the final result came out great. The floor has incredible depth, movement, and a unique finish that simply can’t be replicated with traditional flooring systems.

We’re excited to continue building on what we learned here and can’t wait for the next metallic project.

This garage had been coated by someone else, but over time discoloration developed between the flake layer and the topcoat. The homeowner called us in to see what could be done.

We lightly sanded and ground through the existing topcoat, corrected the discoloration as much as possible, and then resealed the floor to protect it and improve the overall appearance.

The result? A huge improvement without a full replacement.

Quality prep, proper materials, and the right process matter. Get it done right the first time.

The details make all the difference.

This beautiful garage was finished in flake color Gravel, one of our favorite neutral flake blends. Its clean, timeless look complements virtually any home while creating a bright, high end finish that completely transforms the space.

For this garage, control joints were left open. Control joints can be filled or left as designed depending on homeowner preference. In this case, the homeowners chose to leave them intact so the concrete can continue to naturally move and expand through seasonal changes.

For long term durability, this floor was installed using an epoxy system with a built in moisture v***r barrier. This added layer of protection helps defend against moisture related failures and provides a stronger bond to the concrete, resulting in a floor built to last for years to come.

The reflection from the ceiling lighting says it all.
