Rental Barns - we're working with a customer in the Lansing area who wanted a price for a 32x50x12 rental barn. Here are the most common questions our team would ask if you're looking at building a rental barn:

Garage Door sizes - what size equipment does your future tenant need to accommodate their business? Garage door sizing (height) drives the entire height of the side walls (eave ends) of the barn.

Concrete slab thickness - if the rental space will have a vehicle lift the concrete needs to be at least 5" thick for most lifts. This is really important to plan for early! 4" thick is standard slab on grade concrete thickness - we do our own concrete!

How are you going to heat the space - is your tenant someone who is going to be in and out all day long or are they generally closed into the barn - this affects how you heat the space (radiant tube heaters vs. in-floor heating, etc.)

Let our trusted design team advise you on your rental barn so you spend smart up front and have something easy to operate and maintain for your future tenant. We understand ROI and ease of maintenance.

Pro tip - before you design a barn it's best to have a 'customer persona' for your ideal renter so you can explore their needs and wants (such as door sizes, etc.). You can use an AI tool or contact some prospective tenants to ask them about their logistical needs!

7 bedrooms | 7 bathrooms
Huge shop space with upstairs activity area on a loft overlooking the garage.
A show-stopping master bedroom overlooking the expansive main family gathering space on the first floor.
Flooded with natural light throughout.
Warm, inviting spaces built for big family dinners, holidays, and memories that get passed down to their great-grandkids.

Our design team crushed it, we were able to give the customer a full 3D design concept in under two days. When we presented it, the customers were absolutely blown away.
