The 30% federal solar tax credit is gone. Here's what actually replaced it. You're going to keep seeing ads promising you 30% off. Read the fine print. The federal residential credit (Section 25D) expired December 31, 2025. If you buy a system with cash or a loan in 2026, there is no federal credit for you.

What still exists: the commercial credit that funds leases and PPAs, SGIP battery rebates, and California's property tax exclusion. We'll walk you through all three without the countdown timer.

Your panels probably aren't broken. They're dirty. Southern California dust does not wash off in the rain. It bakes on.

We've measured production jumps of up to 15% on panels that hadn't been cleaned in years—one customer got roughly a quarter of their output back. We use filtered water and non-abrasive tools, because pressure washing a solar panel is how you void a warranty.
