One of the most common roof leaks we find in the Treasure Valley starts around a small part most homeowners never notice: the pipe collar.

A pipe collar seals the area where plumbing vents pass through your roof. When it’s installed incorrectly, exposed to years of Boise sun, or made with low-quality materials, it can crack, split, and allow water to enter your home.

A lot of homeowners don’t realize this, but here in the Treasure Valley, becoming a registered roofer or contractor does not require a test, certification, or proof of experience.

In Idaho, someone can register, show proof of insurance, pay the fee, and legally call themselves a contractor. That’s a big reason roofing companies seem to be popping up left and right around the valley.

That doesn’t mean every new company is bad, but it does mean homeowners need to do their homework.

Before hiring anyone, check their reviews, ask about their experience, make sure they’re insured, and look at the quality of their past work.

Your roof is too important to gamble on.

Do your research. Protect yourself. Choose a company that has earned its reputation.

Another one finished up here in Nampa! 🙌

This church roof was the second one our crew knocked out this week, and they absolutely showed up. Long days, hard work, and a lot of hustle to get both projects wrapped up.
