Another project completed for one of our longtime customers in Westlake Village!

This room didn’t have an existing ceiling fan, so we ran power to the center of the room, installed a fan-rated ceiling box, and installed the customer-supplied ceiling fan.

We tested the fan and light, made sure everything was secure and wobble-free, and confirmed it wasn’t going to fall on anyone’s head. Everything is working properly, and we’re on to the next one!

100-amp to 200-amp main panel upgrade in Oak Park ⚡️

We removed the existing panel, installed the new 200-amp panel in the same location, and added ground rods because the original system wasn’t properly grounded.

Electrical work is complete. Now we’re waiting on the stucco and waterproofing to finish everything up.

Bathroom Fan Upgrade in Thousand Oaks ⚡️

We removed an old heater/light/exhaust fan combo and replaced it with a new Panasonic Whisper Quiet exhaust fan/light combo in the same location.

The customer didn’t want the heater option anymore, so we swapped it out for a cleaner, quieter setup.

Clean install, happy customer, on to the next one.

Installed a new customer-supplied Ring camera floodlight combo over the center of this garage.

We pulled power from an existing garage outlet, ran the wiring neatly through conduit, and brought it over to the new floodlight location. Now the customer has better lighting, better security, and full camera access through the Ring app.

Clean install, everything working properly, and another happy customer.

Jake Electric is looking for an experienced Residential Electrical Service Technician to join our team.

We’re looking for someone who has strong residential troubleshooting experience, takes pride in clean work, communicates well with customers, and is dependable.

Main focus will be residential service calls, troubleshooting power issues, and helping with installations like panels, EV chargers, lighting, ceiling fans, outlets, switches, backup generator setups, and more.

Must have:
✅ Residential electrical experience
✅ Strong troubleshooting skills
✅ Own hand tools
✅ Reliable transportation
✅ Good communication and customer service skills

Preferably 4+ years of experience.

Small closet wiring cleanup in Thousand Oaks ⚡️

This customer had an existing switch and outlet in a closet under the stairs that was not done properly or up to code.

We cleaned everything up by running the wiring through the wall the right way, installing a new switch and outlet, and setting it up so the switch controls the outlet for the existing closet light.

Now everything looks cleaner, works properly, and is brought up to code.

Customer’s happy, and we’re on to the next one.

⚡ Another EV charger install completed out in Thousand Oaks. We ran a new dedicated circuit directly from the main electrical panel and installed a new NEMA 14-50 outlet right behind the panel in the garage for a clean and efficient setup. We also mounted the customer-supplied EV charger and got everything up and running safely and up to code. Now they’ve got fast charging at home and are ready to go. Customer’s super happy — on to the next one. 🔋⚡

Cleaned up an outdoor electrical setup out in Santa Rosa Valley using existing power that had been previously run by a retired electrician. We upgraded everything properly and safely by installing new weather-resistant GFI outlets with bubble covers, then ran new conduit up to a switch location and over to a switched outlet setup. All conduit was bent clean and precise for a professional finished look, and every outdoor location is now fully GFI protected and up to code. We also replaced another existing GFI location to make sure the whole setup was safe and reliable for the customer. Everything came out super clean and the customer’s happy. On to the next one ⚡

⚡️ Garage Rewire & Cleanup Out in Camarillo ⚡️

Went to a customer’s house where the garage wiring was definitely not installed properly. There were extension cords, exposed Romex, unsafe connections, and wiring run everywhere with no real organization or protection.

We went in, cleaned everything up, removed the unsafe wiring, rewired the existing lighting properly, added new outlet locations, and brought everything back up to code using surface-mounted conduit and MC cable for a clean, professional finish.

Now everything is safe, functional, and looks 100x better. Customer’s happy and we’re on to the next one. 💡⚡️
