The lowest bid isn’t always the best value. Take a look at the quality of materials, craftsmanship, warranty, and what’s actually included in the proposal.

Take some time to look at their past work. Find projects that are similar to your home and your style, and pay attention to the details. The finished photos can tell you a lot.

Your builder should be able to walk you through what to expect from the initial design all the way through construction. Ask who will manage your project, how communication works, and what the timeline looks like.
