Two pairs of sliding doors I finished up a couple weeks ago. Mounted by the homeowners once they decided on a track system. Red oak stained to match their cabinets. Made and painted the aluminum frames that hold the tongue and grooved slats.

Woodwork of a different sort the last couple days. When you have a long time friend, with which you have a broad history of doing sketchy-ish things, around on his annual visit, you do what you know. Branches over the shop and barn are now trimmed up to about 40’. OSHA approved 🤣

Slow in posting. But this one made it home last week. The tree was from the commissioners property. About three years ago they contacted me to get the logs. After plenty of time milling and drying we settled on this design for a table and bench set. They wanted to retain and highlight as much natural character of the wood as possible. And as you all know, I fully respect that approach. Book-matched pair of slabs for the table top, legs, and bench seats. Relatively simple trestle style base with tusked tenon joinery permanently attached to the top by floating dovetail crossmember in turn attached the the leg by a breadboard style tenon. I’m still blown away by the curls in this walnut. Brought to life with Odie's Oil and Wax finish. I’m happy to say there is material left that will be making appearances in the not too distant future!

Burn free juice grooves technique. To avoid constantly changing depth on multiple passes, lift the base router slightly on the first pass and let the bit float. Lower slightly. Repeat until final depth reached
