Paducah Electrical JATC

We had a large group of high school students from Crittenden and Caldwell visit the JATC this morning. We were the 2nd stop on their tour of trade related training facilities in Paducah. Stops were also made at the Plumbers and Steamfitter Local 184 and Ironworkers Local 782.

We do alot of school visits but it was great to show off the the new training space!

Looking forward to doing more of this in the future!

ATTENTION ALL APPLICANTS!!

Notifications went out on Tuesday, May 12th, via the email address we have on file to all applicants who had been previously scheduled for interviews in the month of March and then in April. These applicants will have their interview at the end of this month.

Notifications just went out for all applicants that had a complete application by the end of business on Friday, May 8th, these notifications are for the date and time of the aptitude test which is also scheduled for the end of this month. These notifications also went out via the email address we have on file.

Please know that we will do everything we can to make the interview and testing process as safe as possible! We are changing our interview set up so that we are in a bigger room to comply with social distancing. We will also be testing a smaller number of applicants for each session to comply with the social distancing.

If for some reason you do not receive a notification and you feel that their is an issue please contact the JATC.

With the times that we are in with the COVID-19 pandemic we are still taking online applications. If you want to be considered for the 2020-2021 apprenticeship class all required application steps must be completed by close of business on Friday May 8th. Many of you have been asking about the upcoming CEU class on May 2nd at the JATC. At this time we are unsure if the building will be open to the general public on May 2nd for the May CEU class.

On March 6th, 2020 Governor Andy Beshear signed an Executive Order 2020-215, declaring a state of emergency in the Commonwealth due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus, a public health emergency.

With this executive order current electrical license holders will have 120 days to obtain their continuing education once the order has been lifted. Current license holders are to still send their renewals as they normally would when they are due.

A BIG SHOUTOUT to the INSTRUCTORS for jumping on board and realizing that virtual learning is an option! They have put in some time since the deciscion was made last week to make this change possible! Also to the APPRENTICES, WOW! You have recieved more emails from me since last Wednesday than you care to mention but you have stepped up and been a part of the test runs that we have done and we do appreciate your help! Virtual learning starts tonight!! Apprentices, please keep in constant contact with your instructor or myself with any connection problems or anything else that comes up.
