The application deadline for the Green Advisor program has been extended to February 26th, 2021.

Green Advisors (GAs) are student workers of the Office of Sustainability who work to encourage sustainable and socially-just lifestyles among all Swarthmore community members. The GAs support environmental justice & climate crisis education/action, work to reduce campus waste generation, oversee the campus composting system, serve as liaisons to the Sustainability Advocates program, and much more. The GA program supports a multitude of approaches to environmental issues, and encourages dialog within and beyond the program to understand these differing perspectives.

No previous environmental studies or sustainability experience is required to apply, both programs seek to encourage students to bring their unique background and develop multifaceted, creative approaches to making change.

Want to learn more about the GA & PSRF positions? The Office of Sustainability is hosting an information session for the Green Advisors program and the President’s Sustainability Research Fellowship, in preparation for the 2021-2022 academic year. Both positions are currently live on JobX.

The session will be held on Thursday, 01/14, 5:00 pm EST, and hosted on Zoom.

The information session is open to all students and will include a brief presentation on both programs, followed by breakout sessions for Q&A and discussion. Please reach out to [email protected] with any questions.
