❄️ THE REAL COST BEHIND PROFESSIONAL SNOW AND ICE MANAGEMENT
With winter approaching, we wanted to share a little insight into why snow removal pricing can vary so much here in Northeast Ohio.
There’s a lot more to professional snow and ice management than simply putting a plow on a truck.
-Equipment & Operating Costs:
A commercial plow truck equipped with a plow and salt spreader can represent a $70,000–$90,000 investment. Add in fuel, proper insurance, maintenance, repairs, employee wages, salt, and those expenses add up quickly.
Many of these costs exist throughout the entire season, whether we experience 5 snowstorms or 25. Equipment still needs to be insured, maintained, fueled, and ready to respond whenever winter weather arrives.
Around-the-Clock Service:
Snow doesn’t follow a 9-to-5 schedule. Professional snow service companies must be prepared to respond during nights, weekends, and holidays. That requires reliable equipment, trained crews, and the ability to mobilize quickly when conditions change.
-Know What You’re Paying For:
When comparing quotes, make sure you understand what’s included. Are sidewalks and entryways included? Is salting covered in the pricing? What happens during prolonged storms? Does the company carry proper commercial snow removal insurance?
The lowest price isn’t always the best value. Reliability, proper equipment, experienced crews, and accountability matter when winter weather hits.
At Brightscape, we believe in investing in quality equipment, taking care of our employees, and delivering dependable service our customers can count on all winter long.
