A strong El Niño could bring increased storm activity to the Bay Area this winter.
That means Wind, Rain, and Saturated Soils. Together, these forces can expose weaknesses and cause branches and whole trees to fail.

Now is the time to prepare—not after the storm.

Blue Oaks (Quercus douglasii) are one of California’s most remarkable native trees. Found primarily in the dry foothills surrounding the Central Valley, these slow-growing oaks are built for resilience and can be far older than their size suggests.
Despite habitat loss from urbanization and land use changes, Blue Oak woodlands remain one of the largest remaining old-growth woodland ecosystems in California.
