01 Pop a small hole in the bulge to relieve the pressure.
02 Put a bucket under it and let the water drain out.

The stain on my ceiling is brown with a ring around it. How long has this been going on?

01 The darker the stain and ring, the older the leak.
02 A fresh leak reads lighter brown, no dark ring.
03 Either way, a stain means it's time to look at the roof.

Torch-down, TPO, coating — they all sound the same to me. What's the difference?

01 Torch-down: a membrane welded on with an open-flame torch.
02 TPO/PVC: similar membrane, welded with hot air — no flame.
03 Coating: a paint-like layer; silicone is the best for flat roofs.
