the client complained about temperature spiking in their 50 year old shower. i told him that old showers dont have pressure balance valve to even out hot and cold water. he didnt want to break tile to install a single handle valve with built-in balancer, so i opened back wall and installed a new two handle valve and balancer separately. i also added shut off valves on hot and cold lines for future service when needed
