We limit our work to San Francisco homes built during the 1800′s to early 1900′s. We specialize in the repair of these particular structures because antique house-parts can be reconstructed from the same raw materials (old-growth lumber, glass, bronze, brass) originally used. Replica parts and sections of new wood are carefully installed to provide seamless transitions between new and old. We main
tain a traditional woodworking shop and a significant stock of re-claimed lumber and antique Victorian door hardware. Our use of modern materials is generally limited to products specifically produced for historic conservation and marine applications. Raven entry doors are replicas of surviving San Francisco doors and doors from our collection of original catalogues from the 1800's. Over the last three years, Raven has carried out historic preservation and restoration projects, large and small, on over 65 pre-1900 and registered historic buildings in San Francisco.
