This week in San Antonio, the White House and Texas Cyber Command launched Project Watershed 250, a voluntary public-private program to protect Texas water utilities from cyberattacks. Cloudflare is proud to be part of it.

The threat is real. Adversaries have targeted Internet-facing water utility hardware across more than a dozen U.S. states. Most targeted utilities had limited security staff and cyber defenses.

This program is designed to close that gap.

Cloudflare will provide eligible Texas water utilities with enterprise security services at no cost. The same platform that protects 42% of the Fortune 500 — deployed for the people who keep the water running.

We are grateful to National Cyber Director Sean Cairncross, Governor Greg Abbott, and Vice Admiral TJ White (Ret.), Chief of the Texas Cyber Command, for convening this coalition and for the trust they placed in us.
