💧 When Water Becomes a Problem, Proper Drainage Is the Solution! 🌿
Another project completed by Southern Standards Landscaping LLC!
This homeowner was experiencing serious drainage issues, with water actually making its way into her home. Our goal wasn't just to improve the appearance of her backyard, but to address the underlying problem and provide a long-term solution.
Here's what went into this project:
✅ Removed the existing lime rock and w**d fabric to expose the underlying soil.
✅ Moved and redistributed a substantial amount of dirt throughout the backyard to correct improper elevations.
✅ Completely regraded the underlying soil to establish proper slopes and help direct water away from the home.
✅ Installed a new French drainage system with a 9-inch catch basin to help collect and redirect excess water.
✅ Reinstalled and leveled the existing lime rock, leaving the backyard with a clean, finished appearance.
What most people don't see is often the most important part of a landscaping project.
Moving large amounts of dirt, correcting elevations, and establishing proper drainage takes time, equipment, knowledge, and attention to detail. Simply making the surface look good doesn't solve the problems underneath.
Here in Florida, improper grading and drainage can lead to serious water intrusion and costly property damage.
At Southern Standards Landscaping, we take pride in addressing the root of the problem rather than simply covering it up.
Our philosophy is simple: Do it right the first time. No shortcuts. No compromises.
We're not just here to make your property look beautiful. We're here to help protect your investment.
