I’m a Bay Area mixed media painter inspired by nature, dreams, and the creative flow that guides my process.

My work is abstract and intuitive—each piece a reflection of something sacred, personal, and universal. I never quite know where a painting will lead, but that’s the beauty of it. Painting has always been my natural calling, allowing me to express what words can’t.

My painting has found a wonderful home at the Marin Community Foundation headquarters in Novato, alongside original work from 70 talented Marin Open Studios artists in this juried exhibition.

The opening reception drew a wonderful turnout, and it was such a pleasure to celebrate the work and connect with fellow artists and members of the community. The exhibition will remain on view through January 9, offering a spectacular space to showcase the incredible talent of local artists.

Many thanks to Marin Open Studios and the Marin Community Foundation for making this exhibition possible.

The exhibition is open weekdays from 9am–4pm at Marin Community Foundation, 5 Hamilton Landing #200, Novato.

Proportions
Mixed media on panel, 30” x 30”

Proportions explores the tension between measurement and emotion.

A bold, architectural “1” anchors the composition, while a red heart hangs beneath it: vulnerable, human, and imperfect.

Embedded in the surface is a reversed image transfer reading Palatial Proportions. Partially obscured and inverted, the phrase suggests grandeur, scale, and hierarchy while simultaneously softening its authority.
A strong horizon line divides the composition into structural zones, creating a visual dialogue between control and feeling.

Branch

60” x 24” Oil & Rice Paper on Canvas

Branch is a stark piece, inspired by my walks and hikes around Marin County. It is the only painting I created during the pandemic, in a makeshift studio I set up on my deck. This 60” x 24” mixed media oil painting on canvas features teardrop-shaped leaves, blending subtle autumnal colors with hidden messages.

Part 3 of 3: bringing it all together.

After several days of layering, adding mixed media, and applying gold leaf, the finished piece is finally complete and ready for its new home!

I love getting to see a commission evolve from the first layer to the final details.
