Big news at Greencare 🌿
We’re proud to share that Ron Kimball has been promoted to Director of Operations.
Ron knows the crews, the work, and your property — in every season, on every site. As Director of Operations, Ron now leads scheduling, quality, and customer experience across both our project and maintenance teams.
He’s joined by two new Assistant Directors of Operations: Nick Sevin (Projects — hardscape and softscape) and Joe Doherty (Maintenance — mowing, turf, and fertilizer). Both spend most of their week in the field with crews, making sure the work meets our standard from the first visit.
This is a strong team, and we’re excited about the season ahead. Welcome to the new chapter, Ron. 🌱

We’re in good shape, thanks to relationships we’ve built over 17 years in business. But no doubt it’s been the toughest winter we’ve had in a long while. Give your local snowplow guy a tip of the hat and a wave as they go by. šŸ‘‹šŸ¼

National suppliers are rationing or cutting off Maine's private plow drivers to make sure they can fulfill government contracts.

What do we do when it finally stops snowing? Well… the CEO plays music at Eric’s Church in Windham and we all have food and drink and finally have some fun together!

ā€œBusinesses shouldn’t get politicalā€ - this isn’t about politics. We’re not giving our opinion on what a corporate tax rate should be or what policy the state should have regarding excise tax… this is our community. We support our community. Deranged, masked criminals are roaming our city kidnapping and murdering our neighbors. It’s not ok. It’s not normal. It’s time for all businesses and individuals to stand up against it. Greencare thinks every definition of ICE should be phased out as quickly as possible: slippery frozen water, Internal Combustion Engines, and yes - Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Get out.

🚨 With the cold snap coming, ICE activity is up. A few reminders from your local snow & ice pros: ā„ļø
• Know your limits.
Salt loses effectiveness in extreme cold—when temps drop, ICE becomes harder to control and needs a different approach.
• Contain ICE early.
When salt won’t work, box ICE in with snow to keep it from spreading into sidewalks, roads, and the rest of the community.
• Use the right tools.
Switch to sand or treated products when ICE refuses to cooperate. Not all ICE responds to the same tactics.
• Don’t ignore repeat offenders.
Shady areas, refreeze zones, and high-traffic spots are where ICE likes to show up again.
• Safety first. Always.
The goal is simple: reduce slips, protect the public, and keep everyone moving—no unnecessary drama.

Stay warm, stay safe, and remember: when ICE is active, preparation matters. šŸ˜‰
